Timothy Robertson Mellon (born July 22, 1942) is an American businessman, investor, and political donor who ranks among the largest individual contributors to Republican candidates and conservative causes in American political history. An heir to the Mellon banking fortune, he has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to political campaigns and Super PACs. Mellon served as chairman and majority owner of Pan Am Systems from 1999 until 2020. In the 2024 presidential election, Mellon donated at least $165 million to support Donald Trump's campaign, including $50 million to MAGA Inc. shortly after Trump's conviction in the New York hush money case. By November 2024, he had contributed over $175 million to Trump's election efforts. Mellon has authored two memoirs: "Rambling Recollections" (2015) and "The Reid Controversy" (2021).
