Overview
Robert Buschel is a Florida-based criminal defense attorney who served as trial counsel for Roger Stone. He defended Stone against 7 counts of obstruction, false statements, and witness tampering related to the Mueller investigation. Despite Buschel's efforts, Stone was convicted on all counts in November 2019. Judge Amy Berman Jackson sentenced Stone to 40 months in prison, calling his crimes "intentional and calculated." Stone was later commuted by Trump in July 2020 and pardoned in December 2020.
