Alvin Leonard Bragg Jr. (born October 21, 1973) is an American politician and attorney who became the first prosecutor to secure a criminal indictment and conviction of a former U.S. president. Born in Harlem, New York, he earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College and his J.D. from Harvard Law School. On March 30, 2023, his office secured a 34-count indictment against Donald Trump for falsifying business records related to hush money payments. On May 30, 2024, the jury convicted Trump on all counts.
