House January 6 Committee Investigation

The House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack was established on July 1, 2021, to investigate the facts, circumstances, and causes relating to the January 6 domestic terrorist attack on the U.S. Capitol. Chaired by Bennie Thompson, the seven Democrats and two Republicans conducted 10 depositions, interviewed over 1,000 witnesses, and held nine high-profile televised hearings. The committee issued a final report in December 2022, recommending criminal charges against Trump.
