January 6 Capitol Riot and Insurrection

A mob of Trump supporters attacked the U.S. Capitol to prevent Congress from certifying Joe Biden's 2020 election victory. Following a Trump rally where he claimed election fraud and urged supporters to "fight like hell," rioters breached the Capitol, resulting in multiple deaths, numerous injuries, and significant damage. Over 950 individuals were subsequently arrested.
