Robert Leroy Mercer

Robert Mercer is an American billionaire hedge fund manager and major donor to conservative causes. He and his daughter Rebekah funded Cambridge Analytica, Breitbart News, and various other conservative media and data operations. Mercer was a major Trump donor in 2016 and has been accused of funding disinformation infrastructure. He resigned as co-CEO of Renaissance Technologies in 2017 following controversy over his political activities.
