Richard William Gates III

Rick Gates is a former political consultant and lobbyist who served as deputy to Paul Manafort during the Trump 2016 campaign and as deputy chairman of the Trump inaugural committee. In February 2018, Gates pleaded guilty to conspiracy against the United States and making false statements, agreeing to cooperate with the Mueller investigation. He met with investigators over 50 times, providing testimony that was crucial to Manafort's conviction. He was sentenced to 45 days in jail and three years probation.
