Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi served in Congress from 1987 to 2025, representing San Francisco. She was the first woman to serve as Speaker of the House and the only Speaker to regain the gavel after losing it. Pelosi led House Democrats through both Trump impeachments. On January 6, 2021, Pelosi was a primary target of the rioters and was evacuated from the House chamber moments before it was breached.
