Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (2017-2025)
Christopher Asher Wray (born December 17, 1966) is an American attorney who served as Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation during both the Trump and Biden administrations. Born in New York City, he earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Yale University. In June 2017, President Trump nominated Wray to succeed James Comey as FBI Director. He oversaw the FBI investigations into Russian interference, the January 6 Capitol attack, and the Mar-a-Lago classified documents search.
